Maria Elena Bello, born April 18, 1967 in the United States is an actor, producer, writer, and director. Her film credits include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013) and Lights Out (2016). In the television world, Bello appeared as Dr. Anna Del Amico on the medical drama ER (1997-1998) and also in other starring roles including as Lucy Robbins on the series Touch in 2013. She also starred as Michelle McBride on the first season of the TV series Goliath in 2016, and from 2017 to 2021, as Special Agent Jacqueline "Jack" Sloane on the NCIS series. NCIS. Bello was born on April 18 1967 in Norristown in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Kathy, a school nurse and teacher and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She was raised in a working-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. In the seventh grade at Villanova University, she majored in the field of politics. Bello continued her acting training by participating in numerous New York theatre productions.
